Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

Pirouette ("we", "us") helps people navigate career pivots. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions? Email us at privacy@mypirouette.co.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and, if you provide them, your name, company, and country.
  • What you share with the product: documents you upload (such as a CV), your answers in the skills diagnostic, pivot choices, session bookings, and messages to coaches or peers.
  • Usage analytics: with your consent, how you move through the product, so we can see what works and improve it (see Cookies and analytics below).

Cookies and analytics

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. This is required for the product to work and is not used for tracking.

We do not use third party tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

  • Product events. When you are signed in we record which steps of the journey you reach, in our own database, alongside your account. This never leaves our infrastructure and is deleted with your account.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless and collect aggregate traffic and performance data only.

How we use your data

  • To provide the diagnostic, scenarios, coaching, and peer features.
  • To generate AI assisted guidance based on what you share.
  • To send you service emails, such as sign in links and booking confirmations.
  • To measure and improve the product, where you have consented to analytics.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small set of trusted providers (subprocessors) to run the service:

  • Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage (EU data residency).
  • Vercel for hosting and cookieless analytics.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI to process text for AI assisted guidance. They do not train on your data through our use.
  • Resend to deliver emails.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under the GDPR: to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and associated data from your account settings, or by emailing us. To exercise any right, contact privacy@mypirouette.co.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the date at the top when we do, and for significant changes we will let you know in the product.
